Cattle Working Clinic

My sister and I went to a cattle working clinic for beginners at Panther Creek Stables. They have a large facility where they teach all things to work on a ranch. This was my first time driving cattle, and although the video makes me cringe, I am enjoying this time as I learn.

JB was a fantastic instructor and made the entire clinic so much fun. He started us off by taking a few of us into to the pasture to bring the cows up to the arena. We spread out and walked them along the fence and got to learn about “blocking a hole”.

Once the cattle were in the arena we broke into teams of five, then pairs, and finally we tried moving the cows as individuals.

I was incredibly excited to meet JB and his fiancée Sloane. They are full time instructors and have several clinics and group events they host weekly.
